who we are

BALU AN REDE is a partnership formed in 1976 including then partners BArbara, LUcille, ANita, REta and DEborah, based in Syracuse, New York.  Although Reta and Lucille have passed away in recent years and Barb has retired,  Anita and Deb continue the business.   In 2020, we brought Laurie on as a partner. 

what we do

We conduct full household and estate appraisals and sales in the immediate Central New York area. 

We take on the responsibility of carefully sorting through the entire household, attractively staging and pricing for on-premises sale to the public.  

Our sales are usually a full day on a Saturday, with discounts during the last two hours of the sale.  We offer free consultations for prospective sales and appraisals.  We operate on a commission basis and conduct sales on premises only.  We do not buy outright.

Our mission

Our mission is to balance our pricing to yield the most revenue for our clients and, thus, ourselves, as well as pricing reasonably enough to be attractive to dealers, collectors and customers. 

After more than 45 years in the business, we have a very loyal and strong following of eager customers.
